To operate an ecological learning center, providing a safe haven within a beautiful natural setting for group meetings and spiritual revitalization.

To engage in responsible land stewardship, to regenerate the land’s diverse ecosystems, and to create a wild life corridor along Catoctin Creek that will serve as a sanctuary for years to come.

To practice regenerative agriculture, operating an organic farm and garden that builds soil and society through healthy food systems.

To educate other landowners in the Catoctin watershed about land preservation and restoration methods, conservation and agricultural easements, and tree planting in riparian buffer zones that protect water quality.

To do no harm as we discover how to balance the needs of the land (its water, soil, plant and animal life) with its human community. The entire farm is organic, practicing permaculture, working with the natural flows of energy — wind, water, sun, slopes — regenerating the life force of the land. The farm fields, tree plantings, rain gardens, composting toilets, solar pumps, drip irrigation, chicken tractors, mixed forests and creeks are laboratories for learning the complex lessons of nature.
